AMSA/GIS (Geographic Information System) has a GIS module as well as a CAD/CAM module. Together, these sophisticated easy-to-use mapping software packages can be used on the economical PC thus allowing the user to create perfect maps and databases.

AMSA/GIS allows the user to relate geographic information to database of nonspacial facts. As an option, AMSA can use dBASE Ill file format as the medium to store these facts, allowing the user unprecedented flexibility in creating and managing the database. By using the power of AMSA/GIS, the user can tailor the database to suit his own needs. Applications can be programmed to work within the entire system, customized by the user or our field-support engineers to solve unique problems.

Atlas sheets, plot maps, and zoning maps are all easy to produce using AMSA. With this system, maps are not just flat illustrations. Instead, they are three-dimensional windows into the database, allowing users to see relationships based on geography. Data elements can be instantly accessed with the touch of a button.

Another Promising feature AMSA includes is the ease of developing the GIS database. The user has the ability to create, manipulate, and change any information in the database online in the AMSA environment. The online capabilities of AMSA make the program very easy to use, giving the user the power to create the database Iinks the same day the system arrives.

AMSA/GIS has been developed for a very broad range of uses. With AMSA's diverse range of ability, you can greatly improve your resource management working simultaneously with other database software such as:

  • Utility maintenance, billing, and scheduling

  • Querry property and parcel information

  • Street pavement maintenance

  • Police case tracking information

  • Routing and Networking

A feature commonly overlooked is the multi-disciplined networking abilities that AMSA has mastered. Interdepartmental multi-discipline networking may prove to be a necessity among the larger institutions such as government facilities. This type of networking provides all departments access to the same database and the most current information.

AMSA raster viewing capabilities give the user the ability to call any type of scanned images including parcel maps, utility maps, single line diagrams, contracts, legal or other documents. The user is also able to raise most types of video images, i.e., a building, as a normal function of the query process.

AMSA is a system designed to suit the needs of each and every user. Used on today's high-powered microcomputers, AMSA offers economy as well as a wide range of capabilities, outperforming more expensive minicomputer systems.

A computer aided design program, AMSA is specifically engineered to create, edit and manage geographical information. The user operates interactively to create and edit drawings of virtually any size or scale. Lines, arcs, circles, and polygons can all be drawn quickly and easily. Data can be input using a keyboard, a digitizer, or a mouse.

AMSA can be customized by the user with unique symbol libraries, although predrawn system symbols are available for fast, easy depiction of common map elements. Special output commands let users generate digital terrain models, map grids, contours, surfaces, and even cross-sections for volume calculations.

AMSA CAD and GIS packages are quickly becoming leading systems throughout the United States and Canada. These low cost, easy to use systems have been known to operate at speeds five to ten times faster then other systems in the field. We invite you to compare AMSA/GIS and AMSA/Map Pro to any system on the market today. We are confident you will agree the AMSA packages will give you the most power and ease of operation than any other GIS or mapping software.
